PRODUCT PROCESS

Cassava Root Handling
The root are delivered to the factory and stored in the reception yard on concrete floor. The root are feed to the main conveyor by pay loader truck first of all loose dirt, sand gravel are removed in a rotating bar screen for drying clean of the root prior to the washing step.

 

Washing
Many impurities resemble will be gad rid of by water washing. The washed root are conveyed on an inspection belt to the per cutter inorder to fed the reaper properly, the roots are chopped into pleces.


Rasping

Rasping is the first step in starch extraction process. The goal is to open all root cells, so that all starch granule are released, the slurry obtained are mixtures of pulp and starch. This step is feed water sulfur to prevent discoloration and germ killer.


Extraction

The extraction take place on rotating conical seiver and fiber is washed on this step.


Wet Screen

The fine fiber and pulp is removed in this step. The starch slurry is pumped to three units of separators.


Refining and Concentration

As muck juice as possible is excreted on three unit separators and this step is feed fresh water to refine starch slurry and separators are made starch slurry concentration.


Dewatering
The purified starch mill is dewatered on batch operated peeler centrifuge.


Drying

The moist dewatered starch is dried in a flash dryer with hot air. The moisture of tapioca starch drying is normally 12-13 %.


Milling and Cooling
The dry starch was passed through milling unit in order to make it fine before cool down temperature.


SIFTING

The coarse starch is separated from product in this unit by vibration screen 60 mesh.
